Bad Activesync implementation in MfE on Nokia E75

Mail for Exchange client embedded on Nokia E75 and E72 phone does have a problem with ActiveSync protocol implementation. When trying to sync more than one email folder (ie. Inbox and Junk Email) the client shows an error "Unable to sync. Contact system administrator.". I've done thorough testing with Kerio MailServer (both ActiveSync 2.5 and 12.0) with no success. It looks there are "hacks" in the client for Exchange as it seems to work fine there.

Interesting thing is that regular MailForExchange 2.9 client on other phones works with no issues.

Can any developer shed a light on this?
Is there any way how to debug MfE client? It does not write any error to the log_admin.txt file and there is no debug file at all.

I dont know about MFE but release builds rarely have logs enabled, so I wouldnt expect it to be enabled in MFE. Besides that, without the sources its very difficult to do so.

Thanks for the answer. I already reported the issue to http://discussions.europe.nokia.com with no response at all. I've got an advice from Nokia Care to use this forum. Basically, all I need is a contact to someone in MfE development team so I can report a potential bug.

It seems to be very difficult to contact the Nokia MfE developers or get any comments from Nokia.

The integrated client is quite slow and empties the battery very soon. But this broken Activesync implementation is the worst part of it.

Currently we (=ISP) are informing our customers to use Apple iPhone or DataViz RoadSync and to avoid Nokia phones.

Please fix the ActiveSync implementation. Thank you.
