Signing NFL skins for the Media Player, Radio and Equalizer

Hello guys, can anybody tell me, how to sign nfl skins to make them work? If I will use unsigned skin in theme, it will not work

What do you mean by it does not work? It fails to install? It installs but the theme is not loaded?

Signing has nothing to do with how stuff works. The signature is checked at install only and the package is either allowed to be installed (if signature recognized and trusted) or not. Beyond that, the signature does not count.

No you are wrong.
NFL skin without signature will not work on a S40 phone.
You can try to delete signature from one of signed skins in a default theme and then run media player or radio - you will get black screen and absolutely not working application

I might be missing something indeed, I am not that familiar with the Series 40 phones and especially not with their themes. Let's wait for a themes expert to answer.

All I can find is the tool to package nfl on Series 40 5th edition. I'm going to move this thread to the flash lite discussion board. Someone might have some short cuts there, but clearly it is a problem as we wrote a tool to solve it for newer versions of Series 40 devices.

Sorry for being so late. But, unfortunately there is no way of signing the .nfl files on your own. They require manufacturer signing which can only be provided by nokia. By the way i think the signature check ain't that perfect. Try appending any signature and RSA checksum to the .nfl file. Maybe you can submit all the skins to nokia and request them to sign them.
