    Hi,

    I'm completly new to java development for mobile phones, and I want to create an "ordinary" grid menu, just like the one used in Nokia phones.

    In my N95 the menu consist of 4x3 icons which I can navigate around and select.

    Any pointers in how to accomplish this within my own application would be greatly appreciated.

    well there is no such built-in graphics (high-level) item...

    That means that you have several options :
    - you implement it yourself by using (Game)Canvas
    - you use a 3rd party GUI library, like J2mE Polish, LWUIt or others...
