Greetings!

We are a small developer of mobile based solutions based in India. One of the primary platform on which solutions are developed is Nokia range of handsets. We are using Symbian OS and S60 2nd and 3rd Edition as our Nokia development platform.

We run into problems such as the following during our development:
1. PC-Handset connectivity for message transfer between a pc-handset. Currently we use a Serial Communication mode over a Serial-USB wired connection between the pc and handset. It hangs after every few hours of message passing.
We are looking for a protocol based solution to this connectivity problem.
2. HTTP Download Manager API - We have not been able to find usage documentation for this API.

We are at this point wondering - Would becoming a member of "Nokia Launchpad" help us in resolving these issues reliably??

I suggest you try finding the solution here in DiBo there are some FN experts who can help you initially also. and if they suggest you join launch pad then you might want to join.

note: there are other benefits of launch pad membership except helping you in developing.

Of course there is also full documentation on library.forum.nokia.com and I am pretty sure the source is in the EPL tree of the Symbian Foundation
