capabilities for lash lite app

Hi to everyone,

I have difficulties in finding the right capabilities for my app. I build a very easy Flash Lite app, that only displays local .flv-videos and enables to visit a website .

Here anre my questions:

A) I don't need a DevCert for Express or Symbian Signing, just need to use my publisher ID, right?

B) I was pretty sure that I would only need the capabilitiy NetworkServices. So I created the devCert with this capability for opensigned offline and fail on install due to certificate restrictions.
Now I tested some to more capabilities and found out I do not need "restricted capabilities" and no "device manufacturer capabilities". After that I didn't get more devCerts because I reached the daily downloadlimit (the second time). Isn't there any other way of clearing which capabilities I need?

whatisinmysis.com shows something like information in brakets:

1st. line: ... [NetworkServices ReadUserData WriteUserData]
6th. line: ... [NetworkServices ReadUserData WriteUserData]
9th. line: ... [UserEnvironment]


C) Is that what I need: NetworkServices, ReadUserData, WriteUserData, UserEnvironment?
May I declare these capabilities even if the combination is not working when testing it open signed offline?

Thank you for your reply. This Link is exactely the reason why I thought "NetworkServices" is enough. But creating a devCert with this capability dos not make a opensigned offline app install.

So I still have no idea how to move on.

Hi Ram,

again thanks for yous reply. I think I made the mistake in believing that flash needs all these capabilities. It seems to bee KuneriLite that requests the capabilities. So no trouble anymore!
