Requested application access not granted

When I try to start an installation of a sis package in both Nokia N97 SDK v1.0 and S60 5th Edition SDK v1.0 it ends up saying "Requested application access not granted" when choosing phone mem and "Unable to install" when choosing memory card. I tried many different applications and the same thing happens. Is there anything I can do about this? I want to test applications in emulator

emulators would require winscw builds where as the device requires the files to be build for the device, so you can not use the device sis file with emulator really.

Anyway, the "Requested application access not granted" means that you are trying to have more capabilities that are allowed to be used with your certificate.

To add more to Jukka's post , you can install a gcce or amrv5 built sis file on the emulator

That's surprising information, have you actually tried and got it working ?

(BTW, the links also says: "The SIS files to be installed on the device must contain binaries built for the WINSCW platform.")

I tried this couple of years back and it did worked for me. Will retest it at work tomorrow if it still works :)

The istallation of device binaries on device might work if the emulator doesn't have a binary format check (unlikely, but I've never actually tried). But one thing is clear, one cannot run those apps in the emulator so the entire test scenario is useless.

Hi,
Thank you so much for your immediate response, i Clicked on the Open URL from file Menu and the entered URL "http://www.google.com/gmm " and installed the relavant version (for google map installation).

It was Progressing for some time and then asked prfered memory Phone or memory card then it showed : Requested Application access not granted" .

Also can we customize the google map for our developement.if so please suggest me the steps.

Currently there are no public API offerings for utilizing Maps on Java provided by Nokia, thus you would need to google for any possible alternative offerings there might be.
