Publish on Ovi Store vs AppStore

Hi,

I wonder if some developers would share their stories about publishing on ovi store vs Apple's appstore. We are thinking about porting our app from iphone to nokia. However, when we have looked at the number of devices that we must support, we become quite hesitated. How do other developers handle testing app on and supporting so many devices?

There are just a few core devices that need to be tested on, in order to run on many devices. I'll see if I can get a list again. You do not need to own any of them. You can run in emulators with the SDK and then when you do need to test on a machine you can use Remote Device Access. Also depending on what your application is, it may not work on anything but a few smartphones.

Thanks for the quick reply. I will be interested in seeing the device list.

In our case, the app is a LBS application which will use the free navigation service recently announced by Nokia. I understand that the free navigation service is available on only 10 devices (which is still a lot).
