updating a published app

i have an app published on OVI store.
i have made some alterations to the app to improve performance / layout.
how do I update my published app without there being any period where it is offline?
i can only delete the current app and upload the new version, but I guess until OVI approve the new version (~4weeks) the app will be unavailable and I will miss out on sales.

any advice on how to update a published app without outage?

To update an app, unlock the download item (file) and edit the version number and upload the new file. Then re-lock the file in order to submit it for verification.

The new version will then go through the verification process as usual, and you'll receive an email once it has passed.

After it's passed verification, it will then replace the previous version in the store (this can take anything from a day to a week, they seem to sync updates to the store in batches, so it depends how long before the next refresh). The old version will be available in the store the entire time this process is going on.

Also, I'd recommend including the version number in your apps title, as the Ovi Store doesn't display version numbers, so it makes it easier for you and the customers to know a new version is available.

When the upload of an updated (e.g. bug fixing) version is made known to end users, will it be possible for them to get the update free of charge ?
