I am working on a Nokia N95 which had PyS 1.9.2 installed before I got it. I would like to install PyS 2.0.0 while keeping the PyS 1.9.2. Is that possible? I did manage to install PyS 2.0.0 on another N95, which already had PyS 1.4.5, with no problems.

I have downloaded PyS60 from https://garage.maemo.org/projects/pys60/, extracted, and moved Python_2.0.0.sis to the phone.

On the phone I navigated to the .sis file and clicked it to start installation. Shortly after choosing Phone Memory as destination, the installation abruptly stops with the message "Update Error".

What causes this error? How do I found out what causes this error? How do I solve it?

Have you installed pips.sis before it? I'm not sure, what is pips, but it has something to do with update.

I have transfered pips.sis to the phone, but have not run it. However, maybe the person who installed PyS 1.9.2 installed PIPS.

How do I check if I have PIPS installed?

P.S.: Sorry about the title, it does not make sense for this question.

So far, most of the .sis files I have installed are actual applications. And after installing them, they appear in the Applications menu. However, when installing the pips.sis it does not show anywhere that I can find.

I am not sure what to call pips. Maybe a module, a runtime library, a plugin? I am going to call it a plugin.

So how do I check if I have such a plugin installed?

I have heard people talk about giving up uninstalling applications in "Application Manager". I have been to the Tools -> Settings -> Applications -> App. Manager. But all I see are options on certificates, there is no actual list of applications.

There must be a way to see a complete list of applications and plugins (or whatever the correct term is) installed on the phone.
