    Hi,

I've been trying out the new Nokia Qt SDK, and was interested to see the support for simulating sensors (QSensor derived classes) built into it. However I haven't managed to get it working since I believe there is no backend to support it.

According to the documentation sensor support is only available for Maemo. Is this correct and what are the plans to add this in the near future? I know there are alternative ways of adding support to apps for this, but these are a pain to emulate without using a real device.

Full sensor backend for Symbian devices will be added to the next patch release (1.0.1) of Mobility. At the time of the 1.0 freeze the code wasn't quite ready yet.

    If you go to
    http://qt.gitorious.org/qt-mobility/qt-mobility

you can find it in the public git mirror already (in case you are very adventurous).
