    I have self sighned the midlet by following the link
    http://www.spindriftpages.net/blog/d...orial-revised/
    certificate is created and installed but still the application is asking for read user data, write user data,
    using network, etc.

    Is it possible to remove securities with self signed?
    If yes then how?
    or we should have to use third party certificate?

    Hello jugal.inani,

    unfortunately signing is not enough if one wants to remove all prompts after signing..
    In addition, user of the application needs to set the matching access settings to 'Always allowed' for the required permissions in the device. For Nokia devices, this can be achieved via:

    -Application manager (in S60/Symbian devices, located in usually in Applications or Control Panel folders)
    -Application access (in Series 40 devices, can be accessed by pressing 'Options' i.e. Left Softkey when the related application is highlighted in the Applications menu)

    Regards,

    Btw, what do you mean with
    I have self sighned the midlet
    ?

    In order to have a Java application properly signed (=no more security prompts), one should use code signing certificates for Java MIDlets available for 3rd party developers such as VeriSign, Thawte or submit the application to Java Verified testing process which, if/when passed, gets the application signed with UTI root certificate. All these are supported by Nokia and they are preconditions for applications which target Nokia's Ovi Store. More about in Ovi Publisher guide.
