    Every time my code calls following function:
    p = Manager.createPlayer("capture://audio?rate=8000");

    Nokia E66 prompts a dialog to ask user's permission. For network connection, it only asks once. How could I change the system to ask only once?

    Thanks!

    Welcome to Forum Nokia!

    You need to go to the device's App Manager, find the application, and change the security settings. It might be a little hard to find, and I'm not sure exactly where it is on that phone. So have a good look around, you'll find it!

    Hello April,

    this article on Forum Nokia Wiki on API access rights for S60 3rd Edition, FP 1 devices (like Nokia E66) provides insight on the prompting background:

    http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...s,_S60_3rd_FP1

    Accordingly the article, under untrusted 3rd party domain (i.e. Java application which has not been signed) for networking the default value is 'Ask first time', whereas for multimedia the default value is 'Ask always'.

    Accordingly the table 'Trusted 3rd party domain', application signing alone will not remove the prompts: it will set the default values for multimedia to 'Ask first time' only. As suggested by Graham, you would still have to browse the Application manager in order to remove the prompts for good (i.e. by setting the access rights to 'Always allowed').

    Regards,
    r2j7

    "Always allowed" settings will be available only after you sign your application to atleast trusted 3rd party domain certificate.

    thanks,
