Have to upgrade to PR1.2 for Nokia At SDK 1.0 beta?

Dear all:

It seems that I need to upgrade firmware of N900 to PR1.2 to work with Nokia Qt SDK 1.0 beta.
Otherwise, it got error 'segmentationfault'.

Should I use other version of Qt Creator and SDK to avoid upgrade N900?
(or it's better that I just upgrade the firmware?)
I am a little confused.
I'd like to develope a simple camera application with Qt creator for N900.
May I have your advise, please?

I am using Window vista with MADDE and Nokia Qt SDK 1.0 beta.

Yes, you should upgrade firmware.

However, I couldn't upgrade the firmware now for some reasons.
Does it possible to install qt component to PR1.1.1 manually instead of upgrading firmware?

Download the latest image and a flasher from here
http://tablets-dev.nokia.com/nokia_N900.php
and reflash your phone.

P.S. You will loose custom applications and all custom settings after reflash.

Sorry that my poor english to make a misunderstanding.
Since my N900 is brrowed from a friend, I can't just upgrade the firmware.
I saw that you point out Qt4.6.2 can be installed on device without firmware PR1.2 in the following post.

You can do it with a commands, but installing PR1.2 is much better idea than partial update

apt-get update
apt-get install libqt4-core libqt4-dbus libqt4-gui libqt4-maemo5 libqt4-multimedia \
libqt4-network libqt4-opengl libqt4-phonon libqt4-script libqt4-sql libqt4-sql-sqlite \
libqt4-svg libqt4-test libqt4-webkit libqt4-xml libqt4-xmlpatterns

But it shows the following information.

Package libqt4-maemo5 is not available, but referred to by another package.
This may mean the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or is only avilable from another source.
Eackage libqt4-maemo5 has no installation candidate.

But its not installing and throwing below error.

However, dpkg -l "libqt4-maemo*" shows that I have core, D-Bus, GUI, network, XML components of qt 4.6.2.
So, I supposed that I have Qt4.6.2 already.(?)

I remove qt4.6.2 by 'apt-get remove libqt4-maemo5-core'.
And I tried to install it again by take the latest file 'libqt4-maemo5_4.6.2~git20100401-0maemo1+om5_armel.deb' from http://repository.maemo.org/pool/fre...ree/q/qt4-x11/

But It still stuck at application manager.

You install with

dpkg -i libqt4-*.deb

Do I need to adjust catalogs setting in Application Manager?

I download the file 'libqt4-maemo5_4.6.2~git20100401-0maemo1+om5_armel.deb'
and I change directory to the folder , run 'dpkg -i libqt4-*.deb'
It try to install but complain version of libqt4-gui, libqt4-dbus on system is 4.5.3.
and leave with Error dependency problem - leaving unconfigured Errors.

maybe I should remove qt4.5.3 by 'apt-get remove libqt4-core'?
