maps navigation license expired.

Hi All,

I've installed nokia maps with navigation option thru OVI in my nokia n85. Last week the navigation license has expired and when I try to use the navigation it stands that I have to BUY a new one.....

where is the "free navigation forever?"

I would assume that is because these are separate discussion boards really, for rather different sets of groups, so they do not have common user database.

just out of curiosity, do you know why my navigation license has expired, since nokia says it's free forever?

Maybe because http://maps.nokia.com/services-and-apps/ovi-maps does not list the N85 among the models with free navigation in the horizontally scrollable list titled "Phones with free navigation". The follow-up model to the N85, the N86 8MP is listed, though (even it probably is no consolation to you).

I can't see a reason for not working with n85, well it was working before, and it can run again. (if I pay).

so I don't think it's some bug... looks like more as a business ($$) restriction. I've posted it in another nokia forum as recommended and If I solve this I'll post here.

I've Nokia 500 Auto Navigation GPS which was working till yesterdays in North America, but now it displays " No valid Navigation License found for this route" irrespective of any address in US and Canada. Customer service tells that update of license is not available for the system. Please help!
