FM transmitter

Does anybody know what the typical range is of the FM transmitter on the Nokia N8 is?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FM_tran...ersonal_device) indicates the range could be several metres to 23m.

I can't imagine how somebody could "know" this, unless it is documented by Nokia somewhere. If you give us a good reason for your question we could be searching for the info and, if it makes sense, add it to device's technical specifications.

My question was more out of interest and perhaps it is more relevant to those who have/are testing a prototype handset (there seem to be a few of those around at the moment).

Basically, anybody having any device that is not commercially available, are not allowed to distribute any information on them, so you would need to wait untill the device is commercially available.
