SDK 3rd Edition installer problem

I previously succesfully installed S60 3rd Edition SDK on Windows 7. Now I want to uninstall it and install Maintenance Release.

However when I run any of the installer, the installer just quits without giving any error information.

I tried creating an empty S60_3rd.xml file but that didn't help. I've also tried running in XP compatibility mode but that didn't work either.

Any ideas?

Make sure that you use right-click+Run as Administrator for uninstalling too.
Note that S60 3rd MR SDK goes to a different folder and has a different SDK identifier, so you can freely install it without removing the other one. Of course remember to right-click+Run as Administrator in this case too.

Yes, I've tried installing both of them as "Run as administrator". Both of the installers just start and quit without any message. I'm stucked! :(

As a workaround you can try what happens if you simply rename C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symbian folder to something else (to SymbianOld for example), and attempt installing the 3rd MR SDK after that.
