The Nokia QT SDK instructions for on device debugging requires the user to install TRK, QT, QT Mobility APIs and such on to the device for debugging.

The N8 is a Symbian^3 device and I can't find a proper TRK to install onto a N8. I would assume TRK S60 5th Edition wouldn't work? I tried installing it, it installed fine but it would cause the device to reset when "app trk" is run.

Is there a way to do on-target testing using the Nokia QT SDK and Symbian^3 devices?

Thanks. Any and all help appreciated.

Nope, Symbian^3 on-device debugging is not supported yet. This is being worked on.

So, how is then possible that Lucian Tomuta demonstrates the Symbian 3 on target debugging with a N8 in this video (first demo link)?

Is just not stable enough to release it?

Danimo's answer was from March 2010, and things seems to have changed in the meantime.
Today, simply navigate the Start menu on your windows machine to All Programs -> Nokia Qt SDK -> symbian -> Install TRK to symbian device -> TRK symbian^3

Note: If you are already using the the Nokia QT SDK, you may have to run "Nokia Qt SDK > Update Nokia Qt SDK" - the original 1.0 SDK did not include the Symbian^3 TRK file.

At the moment the latest Nokia Qt SDK available for download is 1.0.1.

Is there any way to use Homescreen Publishing API through Nokia Qt SDK for N8 devices?

The only related source that I found is http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...ScreenTest.zip but due to missing libraries compile is not possible.

    Anything known about future support?
