As far as I understand, I can monetize my free (and my paid, if I wanted to) applications via advertising. I can use Smaato, Greystripe, or any other ad network that serves Ovi apps.

How much ad revenue do I get as a developer?
How much will Nokia take from me?
Does operator take a portion of it too?

you will get the revenue according to the number of download of the application and money received by the ovi store from downloader.

from my experiance the Ad revenue depends on the impression count and how much they pay for a number of units of Ad impressions .

How much will Nokia take from me?
Does operator take a portion of it too?

Nor the Nokia / operator will take any impression revenue from your portion.

Note: that user has to pay for the badwidth that your application will use when it downloads the ads.
