version s60_3rd_mr, without RemoveLocalItemDefs() interface, how to change scrollbar

Hi, I have a problem when change scrollbar from custom skin to system skin dynamic.
I use version s60_3rd_mr,but this version has no RemoveLocalItemDefs() interface, so i can't change scrollbar from custom skin to system skin dynamic. any suggestion about thisproblem?

I use MAknsSkinInstance to set custom scrollbar like this:
CAknsItemDef* pDef = AknsUtils::CreateMaskedBitmapItemDefL(KAknsIIDQsnCpScrollBgTop,
customSkinImagesFile,
EMbmCustomskinScroll_bg, EMbmCustomskinScroll_bg_mask);
AknsUtils::SkinInstance()->SetLocalItemDefL(pDef);
, but in version s60_3rd_mr, MAknsSkinInstance has no method to change scrollbar skin from custom to system skin.
In s60 5th version, MAknsSkinInstance has method RemoveLocalItemDefs() to remove custom skin, so I can change back to system skin in 5th version, but In s60_3rd_mr,I have no idea
