had to call a urllib method, but I still would like the user to exit/back to the former UI should they become impatient. so, should I really create a thread to wrap the method? or is there some e32 technique for this?

In Multithreading, Only the main thread can use the UI module appuifw.

    Use e32.Ao_lock.
