How can we upgrade applications on device remotly using funambol device management api

Have you asked Funambol? Do they need something specific to be first installed on the devices to be managed?

(Nokia used to have an "enterpise" Device Management product, but as far as I know, it has been more or less in maintenance mode on/with existing customers, and I have no idea whether current devices even have the client software support any more, and what/whose server products would work with it besides Nokia's, which is probably no longer available for new customers.)
