SIP calls on a C5

Hello. I show my problem/question if anybody knows or has the same situation.

I have a C5 (Symbian S60 3rd edition 9.3)

It has a submenu, SIP settings, and configuring it, I can register correctly with CheapVoIp.

But, where is the integration with the phone?

How can I make SIP calls???

I can't find the menu "Net settings" or "Internet Tel."..

Must I to install some patch to see hidden menus???

Hello. I have a similar problem with E5.
I connect my telephone via WIFI to а office PBX Asterisk sucsessfuly (registered).
I install SIP VoIP Settings http://www.forum.nokia.com/info/sw.n..._Settings.html
But I not found the new settings in telephone.
I not make SIP calls.
May be needed configure Presence setting?

There is no N8, C7, C5 in the list. I hope they support sip/voip.

also i found a new menu called "net settings" when i used the search.
but still i dont know how to make the VoIp calls

i never did try to use the search. i found the advanced voip settings application. ran it and defined a service with the created profile. but i will not let me activate from the contacts tab. the globe tab, that's for internet telephony on e5/c6/c7 does not appear and i cannot activate service. the sip profile is registered and stuff, but menu integration seems to be crippled, which is kinda sad, because the C5 might have become the successor of the E51 for me. i'm running 032.02.110 firmware, which is branded for vodafone, will try to upgrade with phoenix to later versions. i can see versions up to 62.xxx in the navifirm.

For the record:
Net settings page on the E5 is under Menu->Ctrl panel->Connectivity . This is where Advanced voip settings app icon shows up.

I have exactly the same problem, and there was no change after upgrading to the latest firmware version 062.001 Special Version 062.001.C00.01 Type RM-645.
My C5-00 was bought in Germany and is not branded.
I know at least one other case identical to ours.
It seems to me that Nokia does not want people to use the built-in SIP-client with the C5-00, my alternatives now are nimbuzz and fring, which both work very well, with fring even giving acceptable sound quality when only EDGE is available.

There is C7 and C5 both in the list.

Both supports sip/voip.

Both devices are under s60 Release 3.1...

so C5 supports SIP VoIP call.

I also have the same problem on my c5 (firmware version 062.001 Type RM-645).

First checking to make sure that IntenetAdvSettings app of any version is not already installed I have attempted to install SIP_VoIP_3_1_Settings_Symbian_3_v1_0_en.sis which I believe should be the correct application but it said "Application not compatible with phone" so I cancelled the installation.

I then attempted to install SIP_VoIP_3_x_Settings_v2_0_en.sis which seemed to install with no problems. However, I can't find the application in any menu on the phone!

If anyone has got VOIP/SIP calls to work on their C5 (without going to something like Nimbuzz), I'd really appreciate some advice?

There was an error in the supported devices list, C5 has been dropped from the list: http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph..._Nokia_devices
VoIP has been disabled in C5-00, because there is no support for WLAN.
VoIP settings and advanced settings plugin can still be installed, but since feature is disabled VoIP tab and Net settings application are hidden.

C5 users dont get dishearted , I am using VOIP via FRING application on my C5 and that too over edge network. I dont hv 3G but fring VOIP works great over Edge where even skype call had failed.
