Nokia 30 data connection and signal strength simultaneously

I'm new to M2M programming. However, I am using a Nokia 30 to make a gprs-connection (from W2K) but I need to be able to read the signal strength on the connected device as well - simultaneously.

Is there anyway this is possible? Right now I have the Nokia30 connected directly to a serial port.

It is not possible to read the RSSI information during the data call.
