    Hi Forum Contributors,

I have to implement the Playing & Stop playing feature for audio file in S60 3rd & 5th edition. I got the solution at http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...ng_audio_files , but it requires MultiMediaDD capability. Is there any way by which it cab be implemented for self signing ?
I have gone through the previous post but found some other peoples are also facing this problem but didn't got any solution yet. Any pointer would be highly appreciated..

    Thanks in advance..
    Shrawan.

Do you really need MultimediaDD for play/pause and stop a audio file. I don't think so.

Nope, but indeed it is indetified to be needed in some special cases, and in beginning it is not so easy to figure out whether it is really needed.. Admiting that docs etc. can be sometimes a bit confusing.

I have not much idea about special cases. But I am able to play/pause, stop, rewind, forward without multimediaDD capability. any idea why?

Ok, I assume you have not checked the SDK docs much then, it says on there "Capability: MultimediaDD For applications that do not have the MultimediaDD capability, any supplied priority level (aPriority) or priority preference (aPref) will be ignored " for the CMdaAudioPlayerUtility, which might not be really clear for newcomers..

Thanks SymbianYucca & Somnath for your valuable replies,

1 thing I didn't mention here i.e. First I have to make a call by using DialNewCall(); and when call get connected successfully then I have to play the audio file which can be audible at both the ends.

then you could search this forum with uplink keyword. that particular use case is rather difficult, but older discussions on the topic would give you ideas on how you can do it.
