Installation freeze at "Preparing Installation"

Hi,

I published a lot Qt applications over Ovi Store these days. So many users reported me that they couldn't install the application on their devices via Ovi Store. The installation just freeze while "Preparing Installation". If I press "Cancel", the device will reboot itself. One more weird thing is when I try to install it again by launching Ovi Store, that application has already marked as "Installed" and Download button change to "Launch" (and sure, it couldn't be launched since installation was failed).

This problem is be able to reproduce. I could shoot the video to show you the whole process if you want.

Do you have any suggestion how to solve this issue or what should I tell the user?

One thing you could try is to simply let the phone do its thing, however long it takes. I belive that it will eventually move forward, and even complete the install successfully. If that happens would be interesting to see the logs and the recorded timings.

This time I let it do for half an hour. The longest period I have ever tried is around 2 hours, however without logging.

I will do the test today with longer period and will report you that it could pass the process or not.

Lastly, this issue has been solved by uninstall "Nokia Smart Installer" and "Nokia Smart Installer ADM" out. =)
