    its more just a demo than a game to ship. I think we may just skip QT now and stick to WP alongside android/iOS. - shame QT is being attic'd as its very nice

    There is really no reason to skip QT. Apple is still promoting it and for example all their streaming from their press events and all the videos on their site require QT for playback. Of course one can justify that there are better options, including for example VLC which has a Qt based front-end.

    There's also no reason to default to binary thinking, with a technology either in or out of the picture. I don't know about QT but Qt is far from being attic'd, it has a bright future in mobile with MeeGo and with Symbian (be it a near future in this case) and in desktop world ( see Canonical's recent announcements, KDE ... ). Just have an app idea, identify the target audience and the best technology available to use it, and then use that technology to implement your idea. You cannot ever reach the huge Symbian user base for example with "WP alongside android/iOS" but with Qt you still ave a very good chance to do that, unless you prefer coding directly in Symbian C++ of course
