Hub / home-screen apps for third party apps

Hi,

Is it possible to have home-screen apps and hubs for third party applications ? Are there any limitations for these home-screen apps ?

A search with Google indicates that the thing is called "Live Tile" in Windows Phone context. You can try searching and reading about it in order to find out its availability. A blind guess would be that it is "more" available in Mango than in the initial release.

You can PIN ANY app to the home screen. In fact you can even PIN a feature within an app to the home screen. For example lets say that you want to keep an eye on a Product Stock level, if you implement the feature, you can implement a Live Tile that keeps it self updated with the articles in stock and when you press it, you would open your app and place the user automatically on the product screen that you are monitoring. Just as an example. Obviously all this must be coded by you but its really simple to do so. So at the end of thye day you can go to the app list and Pin an App to the homje screen and you can also add a Pin to Home Screen functionality from within your app.
