Individual developer Symbian signing

Dear all,

I'm trying to understand if individual developer has a possibility to publish Qt Symbian software in non-OVI stores. I have this question because OVI store has express-signing option that only requires valid UID and dev certificate from OVI. How one can sign a Symbian app without Publisher ID (that is allowed only for companies)? Thank you in advance

Right now Ovi is the only way for individual developers (unless the application works with self-signing of course).

Thank you for your response. All my apps actually work fine with self-signed method, but can I post them on app-stores like PocketGear? What about the message user sees when trying to install self-signed package? Sorry for naive questions but I'm a bit new in signing area (all my experience is Desktop and Maemo 5 that both do not require any signing)

It is up to the given store if it accepts self-signed content or not.

The message can not be circumvented.
