    Hi all,

    I want to convert the co-ordinates I get from GPS enabled device into a link refers to a location on a map to one of the popular maps providers ( OVI - Google ), so user can click this link and its browser jump to this location on the map.

    Best Regards.

    It is doubtful that any kind of conversion would be necessary.

    Yep, no conversion required. You can use the coordinates directly for making putting a marker into the map, as well as you can use the same location for moving the map center there.

    Thank you for your response,

    What I meant is, rather than sending the coordinates in a message and who receives it starts to enter these coordinates manually in OVI Map - as example - so he can see where I am;
    I want to send him in the message a link to my coordinates, and when he clicks this link, it opens his browser to my location on a google / ovi map.

    You can see this style in some application that used in emergency situations, or a stolen mobile.

    Best Regards

    easiest way on achieving that would be to use the Map rendering API: https://projects.developer.nokia.com...psrenderingapi

    or if you have your own server, you could use URL arguments to specify the location and make the logic yourself.

    The Ovi Map Rendering API has been moved out of projects, and renamed to the Nokia Map Image API. Here is the current link http://www.developer.nokia.com/Devel.../Map_Image_API

    Displaying the coordinates of a location is a basic use case for this API, the syntax would be something like:
