You're asking on the wrong forum. LWUIT and eSWT are Java technologies and Java forums would be a better place (and it doesn't matter - or at least it shouldn't matter - whether you use LWUIT or eSWT on Symbian, or on Series 40, or on some other manufacturer's phones that support JME, Java Micro Edition).

In general, I suppose, you should ignore eSWT (seems like a bit of a a dead-end, whereas LWUIT is alive and kicking). And if moderators move this thread to a Java forum, perhaps someone with actual, practical experience with both can comment further...
