Belle firmware for older devices

Hi,

I've seen that OVI store has been updated and distribution tab now contains Belle firmware for E7, C7. N8, etc. Does it mean that developers would be able to get that firmware to test their apps somehow or it's all about Remote Device service? Thanks

I suppose they are just making things ready for future, and having the thing there does not constiture of any promise that those firwares would be out. Thus check out RDA for updates, as well as you can check softtware updater.

Thanks for answer. I'm affraid I was not specific enough when asked the question. Question was not from a user perspective of when Belle firmware will be available for old devices (I know it will be next year), but rather if developefrs have any hope for early access to it through other channels.

There is no plan to release the Belle firmware for developers, other than through the RDA service.

Anyway, the Belle should be more-or-less the same with all devices, thus just do the testing comprehensivly with one device, and you would decrease the risk for it on failing any upcoming update.
