Hey Guys,

I have a wierd question i know...
Is it possible to pair an s40 devices with a Bt headset/earpiece within j2me app so that phone calls that are made from within the app (via platformRequest) will go through the Bt headset/earpiece?

Hello Shai,

I think this use case is not possible due to following the limitations:

-using platformRequest for making a native/device event results in suspending the MIDlet and putting it on background or making it exit altogether (depending on the platform), and in both cases this means that the application cannot run any code like routing audio.

-based on the discussions on Nokia Developer Discussion Boards, the use case depends on the existence of A2DP on targeted devices, plus code level (=API) support for the profile.

Why not activating the Bluetooth headset before starting your MIDlet?
