Using the default Acess Point Settings

Hello,

My app needs to connect to the internet. Currently when I use the RConnection APIs , it always prompts asking for the AP to use....

My need is that if in the Connection Settings user has set Data Use as "Automatic" then it should use the default destination for accessing the internet...

You could try searching older discussions, keyword ECommDbDialogPrefDoNotPrompt should give you some results to start with.

Actually now, when I use RConnection::Start(iStatus) it does not prompt for the AP, even though I have not set any APs and the Start completes with error
My requirement is that , if user has set an default IAP, then my app should not prompt the user to chose an AP, if no APs are set then it needs to prompt the user, so that user can chose from a set..

You might want to check whether the error returned is giving you ideas on what is going wrong there.

Also you could try checking the examples and trying to set the AP's as well..

I am able to achieve this using the settingsui APIs, thanks for the support.
