    Hi,
    I am a newcomer for N9 developer. I want to use some the 3rd party libraries on N9 , such as opencv. But I don't know how to compile it. I once compiled opencv library for maemo on N900 using scratchbox, when I search the compiling method on N9, someone says that the scratchbox does not support meego. Is there anyone who has compiled some libraries on N9, please give me some suggestions ,thanks very much advance.

    Assuming you install the correct dependencies, I think scratchbox should
    support building opencv? I mean, its just another source package..
    The other option is to compile on-device..its a pain tho.

    hi,tkastlunger, thanks for your answer. these days , I have tried to install the toolchain for compile meego in scartchbox like this webpage :http://harmattan-dev.nokia.com/docs/..._manually.html
    now, I could compile some simple example using g++. But when I want to compile opencv library which needs cmake , there occurs many errors.
    such as " aegis-manifest-dev: Depends: perl (>= 5.6) but it is not going to be installed
    autoconf: Depends: perl (> 5.005) but it is not going to be installed
    Depends: m4 (>= 1.4.13) but it is not going to be installed
    Depends: debianutils (>= 1.8)
    automake: Depends: dpkg (>= 1.15.4) but it is not going to be installed or
    install-info but it is not going to be installed
    clean-device: Depends: aegis-crypto-tools (>= 0.2.4) but it is not going to be installed
    Depends: package-manager but it is not going to be installed
    cmake: Depends: libarchive1 (>= 2.8.0) but it is not going to be installed
    Depends: libc6 (>= 2.7) but it is not going to be installed
    Depends: libcurl3 (>= 7.16.2-1) but it is not going to be installed
    Depends: libexpat1 (>= 1.95.8) but it is not going to be installed
    Depends: libgcc1 (>= 1:4.1.1) but it is not going to be installed
    Depends: libstdc++6 (>= 4.4.0) but it is not going to be installed
    Depends: zlib1g (>= 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg) but it is not going to be installed
    Depends: cmake-data (= 2.8.2-2maemo3+0m6) but it is not going to be installed
    Depends: procps
    ..........................
    "
    and when i try to install some dependent packages, there will be more packages need to be installed.

    So I do not know how to solve it,

    I am confused a lot and hope to find some instructions on how to compile it.

    Thanks .

    To me it looks like scratchbox is not correctly installed. Is there any particular reason you used manual installations instead of the automatic installer http://harmattan-dev.nokia.com/docs/...tform_SDK.html

    Have you seen this opencv project for harmattan? http://projects.developer.nokia.com/opencv

    Hi jlei;
    are you compiling from source OpenCV or installing some development .deb (***-dev**.deb)? To me it looks like you are doing the second one (because of the errors you get)?
