Data Call Connection Error

Hello every body,
I am developing an application that connect two devices via data call.
Sometimes my application works fine.
But sometimes I have "connection error" problem and my application goes to an state that not defined for it.
The "connection error" is a problem in symbian or on my network connection?
If the problem is in symbian help me to solve it.

Generally data calls are not really supported, most classes you need for them are also marked as depracated. And recommendation would be to make VoIP applications instead.

Anyway, if you wish to continue with data calls, I would suggest checking older discussions on the topic to see what kind of problems people have experienced before.

Also you should debug and find out what actually happens, what kind of errors there are returned, and alsoif there is any state variables you should see what states are reported and then try finding out what the states and errors are meaning.

"Sometimes" is a bit underspecified. Does it mean "on some devices", "with some operators" perhaps? Of course if you manage to establish a data call once, the given device certainly supports it.

As far as my experience with data calls is concerned, the 'connection error' note appears when there occurs some network error.As you say the state is not defined, did you checked for it by putting logs in all the call states available, if yes then you can put up a default case & re-initialize all the things.

Above all you should be first answering what is asked in #3.

This application tests on X6, 5530 and N97 mini. It worked fine before, but recently faces a "connection error".
May be this is come from my network operator?

Basically you would need to debug the code and see what actually happens inside, and whether you can catch any meaningful states or errors which could explain the problem.
