Is this possible to create Popup window in s40

Hi,

I want to show some content, inside a Popup window. But in s40 browser didn't support

 position:absolute;  top:0; left:0;

like these css properties. so i'm not able to postioning the popup window at (0,0) position. Is there any way we can achive this..? Please help...

Unfortunately it is not possible to overlay since position and z-index properties are not supported on the S40 Web App platform. For a dialog / popup, window.alert also doesn't help.

All you can do is have a normal div without overlay.

You could try looking at JQuery mobile, I know it definitely supports pop-up's. There is an example (non-working) on the Nokia Web Apps Wiki about integrating JQuery into your app. Perhaps you can figure out how to get a pop-up working using the supports parts of JQuery?

I tried to create a pop-up with Dojo using the below example, unfortunately, while it worked in Local Mode, it didn't work in Cloud Mode.

jQuery and Dojo at the end of the day may be using position and z-index properties, hence overlayed elements would not work in cloud preview and on the real device.
