    Dear all,

Would you please tell me whether Nokia 6610's Java APIs support File System access ( I mean methods for opening, reading, writing, closing files ...) ?

Can Symbian OS with Nokia 6610 support Java and File System access ?

    Thanks alot,

    Brgds,
    Linh.

    Which files?
There are no files for MIDlet
Only resources included to its JAR if you call em files

    Hello,

The files stored in a local directory of Nokia 6610 phone.

I intend to write a Http Server for Nokia 6610 which can respond static resources ( html, image files ) to the requester.
And I dont know whether there is Java API for FileSystem access ( somehow it can be similar to the class
"com.siemens.mp.io.File" from Siemens Moible Toolkit ).

    Thanks alot,
    Linh.

You cannot access files outside of MIDlets sandbox.
It violates MIDlet idea rather much and Nokia currently does not provide any proprietary API for it
