    Hi

    Got a question on OTA.
Do I need a WAP gateway to implement OTA?

I am using a web hosting company. Proper MIME types are setup and I am able to access my page using Nokia 6600. However, when I access the JAD file, the phone recognise it as a Note file and open it in the Note Applcation.

Any idea why is this so? Is it because my hosting company does not have a WAP gateway?

    Thanks!

No, you need nothing for OTA deployment other than a web-server with the correct MIME types configured. The WAP gateway (if you are using WAP) is usually provided by your network operator. Are you sure the correct MIME types are set for JAD and JAR files? I would guess either that they are not, or there is something perculiar about the 6600. Are you able to deploy OTA to any other device?

    Graham.

    Thanks!

I asked my web hosting company to stop and restart the IIS service and now it works!
