Access to Phone's features

Hi

I am writing a midlet that creates an Image. Ideally I would like the user to be able to assign this Image to a contact in the phone book, or at the very least save it into the myPictures (or equivalent) area.

If I am able to get my application signed is there any way that I can get access to the apis that would enable me to perform such a task?

Am not sure, but you could refer to the following guide:

It is in PDF format, which describes how to customize the J2ME TM Wireless Toolkit by modifying device property files.

Hi ,

AFAIK there are no APIs that would allow a j2me midlet to access phone features like the phonebook - or myPictures for that matter. I wouldn't expect to see any in future either as it would be against the sandbox model.

maybe no direct access to the phonebook. it would be cool though, if TextBoxes and TextFields with inputconstraint PHONENUMBER would allow the user to browse through their phonebook and select a number....
