How to user Infrared Socket?

Hi,
I have a problem regarding using Infrared Socket. Does any body know how to use it? I already read the SDK Help and try the listed example shown but it yield nothing... Please give me a hint (I prever in code)! Thanks in advance...

well i am too looking for a way to use IR, can anyone pls suggent an api or a code sample from which i could use some help...
I need this for a series 60
nokia 6600 phone..
