s40 real device problem connecting to server

I am writing a midlet that connects to server and allows user to send messages the problem is that when i am testing it on emulator everythng works fine, on s60 devices also. The problem is that my Nokia 6800 can't open a connction to server - i tried to reset my phone internet connection parameters but still nothing.
My question is should i implement another way to communicate with server in s60 and s40 series is it the same in both cases what is the problem.
Could someone help me??

P.S. on series 30 my midlet also cannot connect to server (real device) on emulator no problem.

You tried? Better call your telco and ask them to SMS the settings to you.
