I would like to start learning mobile application development. I am proficient in Win32 applications via Visual C++ 6. The basics of Java are also familiar.

Say I have in mind an idea of an application for Nokia 6230 or 7210. Where to begin? What tools do you senior developers recommend to newbie developer?

I prefer free IDEs that provide emulators, tutorials, samples, etc.
