D211 & Windows 98 startup problems

Hi!

Does anyone have a solution for this: When Windows 98 SE is started and the D211 is inserted before laptop is turned on, Windows will prompt an error: "While initializing device CONFIGMG: Windows protection error. An internal stack overflow has caused this session to be halted. Change the STACKS setting..."

I have tried various stacks settings in config.sys but it didn't help. I also tried to change the MinSPs setting in system.ini but I didn't help either.

The card works perfectly if I insert it after Windows has started but I need a solution for the problem because the card will be used in a computer in which the card cannot removed every time when computer is rebooted.

Please help!

Do you, by any chance, have the option of migrating to Win NT/Win2k/Win XP?
In many cases the old 95/98/ME can't be helped.
