does series 60 emulator support sound?

i try to run a Tone MIDP example i downloaded from forum nokia on a series 60 emulator and i got the below exception

Event handler threw: java.lang.IllegalStateException

then i tried the same example on a series 40 emulator and there's sound!

so can i conclude that the series 60 emulator do not support sound in the present version (i'm using Beta0.1) or i didnt configure some settings?

The Series 60 one doesn't support sound yet, it says so in the release notes I think. The series 40 one seems pretty good though in this respect. Have you tried to do a midi/polyphonic ringtone with it at all?

Also think that only Series 40 support Sound.

What is unclear to me is what formats are supported, don't see any comment in the docs on that.

I hope there is more than WAV/PCM 8kHz 8bits (64kb/s) ... ?
