Series 80 WINS Emulator networking problem

I have a problem setting up WINS emulator to work with LAN card of the PC.

Based on some posts in this forum and Nokia's documentation, it seems that Ethernet plugin is inbuilt into this.

Here is what I did.

Used Network Configuration Tool (provided with the SDK) to setup the IP address (tried both DHCP and static IP -- with and without promiscuous mode).

Tried the following Network Adapters: Microsoft Loopback Adapter, 100 BT Wired LAN, 802.11b Wireless LAN (that comes bundled with IBM ThinkPad T40).

Tried to execute httpexampleclient.exe (from the SDK). I always get <unrecogised event -1> when I try the "GET" command.

When I start the emulator and check on
Control Panel->Connections, it always says
"No Active Connections".

Does anyone have any ideas making this work -- like I said, it is Series80 SDK 2.0 Beta.

Any help is appreciated.

You can try to use the browser to visit some websit, it will ask you to open a connection.
