OTA Download, Security and Authentication

Some one can tell me if during OTA Download Session or before downloading a Midlet is possible to implemente an authentication procedure(User,Passwd)? And someone know if it is possible for a midlet to implement an authorization procedure abased on Midlet ID or IMEI Phone Number? And if YES can i store this Authorization (I hope with a flag) on the Phone to avoid this procedure every time someone use the midlet?

Hello,

The download is done with a wap browser, so you could authenticate with
the wap browser, some browsers store cookies. The J2ME API does not require or define any security for downloading that I know of.

I solved my problem, and iwant to submit the (simple) solution to you.
To implement copy protection mechanism you have to use a procedure that store data permanently on the phone with RMS (Record Management System) and store whatever you want (Temp_ID,Activation_ID, etc. etc.)
