I was browsing around the files on my 7610 using FExplorer. One of the files I was browsing appeared to contain the configuration for my email account. It was plain text and contained my account name, server details, etc. I guess this isn't so bad but what I am concerned about is that the password was plain text too. I'd have expected it to be encrypted.

Now I know that I can use phone locks and SIM locks to try to protect my account, but plain text passwords are just a big no-no in anybody's book.

Personally, I consider my email account details as sensitive as my credit card details - emails can contain sensitive data too, including financials.

I'm wondering now if the wallet application is just as secure. Can anybody out there reassure me?

    Thanks, that's encouraging.

So can the email app be fixed? The way it is at the moment just isn't secure.
