Nokia 3410 SW versions?

Hi,

What is the latest 3410 software version? I'm about to update my old 3410 phone in order to start developing J2ME applications.

I have read version 3.12 or higher is required to get OTA working properly.

Is there a special software version available/required for development?

Hello,

The latest firmware version is 4.09. It should be available shortly from authorized Nokia Service Points. The shipping phones have version 3.12.

There are no special versions for development.

Are there any release notes available on the web detailing which firmware versions have been released and what was changed or fixed with each release, and reasons why should you upgrade.

My game runs OK on v3.12 but I'm guessing that later versions improved the 3410's ability to perform OTA downloading. Is this correct?

Hmm.. mine is v3.06.. i guess that is dead old, isnt it? How can I upgrade it, and is it safe?
