HTTPS - what is happening with the certificate

I ve got a question - I am trying to develop a midlet servle app that uses the HTTPS and there is a question : when I send the data through the pipe every time with my data will be send certificate ?? (public key)
can I store staticly my key and certificate??
how to do that ?? any codes??

i create a project as same as the article, but i always recieved a Exception "Certificate does not contain the correct site name
", my start my tomcat web site "http://johnny:8443", so, i input my name "johnny" when create a certificate, but it doesn't work, how can i do? help me!
