i have downloaded evaluation version of CodeWarrior for Symbian 3.0 Professional edition. i have installed symbian 8.1b SDK.
While i am compiling console based hello world application using CodeWarrior selecting target as ARMV5 and compiler as ARM RVCT i get the following error.
In order to get proper support in the IDE for building ARMV5 targets against Symbian OS 8.1b DevKits prior to week 44, you must apply a patch to your DevKit's 'epoc32\tools\' directory. If you have between week 33 and week 44 you need to install the patch at the following location:

i am using Symbian SDK 8.1b week 44 only. Do i need to apply patch for that also?
i tried one more thing. i installed Symbian 8.1b SDK(week 44) and CodeWarrior for Symbian 3.0 on some other machine. Now i am getting some path related problems that i am not able to figure out.
Please Help.

from the command line to see exactly what error you get. It is likely that armar.exe is not in your PATH statement. If so, you will need to fx your PATH to include the directory where this executable lives.
